The Tampere Leadership Symposium on 6 September 2018 seeks ways to make strategic organisational decisions using analytics and knowledge-based management. The theme is very topical because digitalisation has made it possible to collect vast amounts of data. However, collecting data is not enough on its own as you also have to be able to analyse it, communicate about it and use it to make strategic, knowledge-based decisions.
The annually organised Tampere Leadership Symposium offers an excellent opportunity to hear leading experts talk about society, business and management. This year, we have the great honour to welcome the one and only Tom Davenport to give the keynote talk in our main seminar. Davenport is a distinguished Professor of Technology and Management from Babson College in the United States. He is known as a pioneer of data and analytics based management and knowledge management.
In addition to seminars, Tampere Leadership Symposium offers more light-hearted programme as the Faculty of Management’s student associations arrange competitions, debates and other such activities. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the workshops organised by the Y-kampus. As usual, the event also offers a Business Fair where businesses and students have the opportunity to get acquainted and to discuss possible co-operation in the future.
